Copyright Ownership

All digital artworks, designs, logos, and associated content within the GOKAMI Vault are protected by international copyright laws and treaties. The copyright for each artwork is owned by either GOKAMI or the original artist who created the piece.

Purchasing a digital artwork from GOKAMI Vault grants you a limited license to use the artwork as specified in our Digital Rights & Licensing agreement. This does not transfer copyright ownership to you.

Copyright protects the original expression of ideas in our digital artworks, including visual design, composition, color schemes, and unique artistic elements. It does not protect ideas, concepts, or functional aspects.

Fair Use Guidelines

Fair use is a legal doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders. However, fair use is complex and context-dependent.

DMCA Compliance

GOKAMI complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and responds promptly to valid takedown notices. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on our platform, please submit a DMCA notice to our designated agent.

Required DMCA Notice Elements:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location
  • Contact information for the complaining party
  • Statement of good faith belief that use is unauthorized
  • Statement that information is accurate under penalty of perjury
  • Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner

Copyright Duration

Copyright protection for GOKAMI artworks lasts for the life of the creator plus 70 years in most jurisdictions. For works created by GOKAMI as a corporate entity, copyright lasts for 95 years from publication or 120 years from creation, whichever expires first.

After copyright expires, artworks enter the public domain and can be freely used by anyone. However, GOKAMI artworks are all recent creations and remain under active copyright protection.
